Katja’s home!! 🤗🤗🤗
It’s been a long week. I know many of you are just as heart broken, frustrated and upset as we are for Katja. I wish I could give all of you answers but we still don’t have any ourselves.
Everything being negative, though not helpful in pinpointing cause, is an answer. It tells us that nothing else is going on, that for now, PPC is all to blame.
Our new reality is a wheelchair bound child that will need a lot of help. It’s been difficult for us and we are trying to process all of this, on top of keeping life normal for 4 other kids and keeping Katja’s spirits up.
We are actively working on a new medication authorization which just hit the market recently. Her team is hopeful that it will help. For now we are doing what we can to keep her comfortable and return her to as normal of a daily life as possible.
She’s going to need a lot of intensive therapy. We already have aquatic PT starting soon and we are hopeful that SCH outpatient can see her as well.
We are beyond thankful for your thoughts, love, kind words, concern, prayers and worry for Katja. It’s been a hard few months for all of us and though we don’t respond to all the messages, we do read them and we do tell Katja about all the people that care about her.
Thank you all 🩷💜❤️💛
