Katja is now on Bypass. It took longer than expected due to her previous surgery scar tissue and adhesions. These next few hours are the most crucial. Her heart is stopped completely while the machine keeps her alive. Her heart will be repaired and the team will slowly restart her heart and get it beating again. The next update will come when her heart is beating on it’s own and she’s off Bypass. Keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

I will add that we are seeing all your messages, texts, love and support. Neither of us are really in a head space to reply but we do deeply appreciate it. It’s just so very hard to sit here waiting while knowing what’s happening.
My emotions are literally being held together by a bandaid right now and if I even attempt to reply I’m going to break down but please know… We see them, we appreciate them and we ❤️ you all!
