It’s the 10 day count down! Things here have been super busy. Lots of end of school year activities, last minute appointments and getting everyone ready for us leaving. We’ve been trying our hardest to keep Katja’s day to day as normal as possible but with the heat and her heart, she’s been pretty tired/crabby. She was able to go on her school field trip this week! She had so much fun with her friends and seeing all the animals. It was a hot day with lots of walking. She was definitely struggling. Our usual boncey, energetic girl was definitely having a rough time. I’m just so happy she was able to have the experience.

I’m not sure who this trip will be harder on, Katja or Finn. Her brother is her partner in crime and they adore each other. I think they are both going to have a hard time being separated. It’s extremely hard as a parent to leave kids behind and have to trust in family to take care of it all. I know I’m definitely struggling with that these days. The older 3 have been champs and they can actually understand what’s going on. They are also amazing at helping out with their little brother. Finn unfortunately is going to have a hard time navigating life without his parents and his play buddy Katja. He’s a stubborn one, so I’m sure he’ll be fine 😉
