Baby steps…

Last night Katja had her first “bath” in a chair. We called it her “Spa Night”. She even had a hair washing shower cap. She definitely perked up after getting clean and walking a little. Today has been much better.

Eating/Drinking have been limited. She’s on such high levels of narcotics that she’s mostly sleeping and not very hungry. But she is definitely perking up as the day is going on.

Her chest tubes have finally stopped dumping and she *may* have them out this afternoon (if all goes well).

Today we are taking baby steps to our goals. We have a lot of catching up to do after losing yesterday to pain but she’s taking steps and she’s feeling better.
